Academy help keep Keepmoat on the right track

We have recently donated to a charity event that Keepmoat are doing later in the year, below is more about what why and when,  we were only too delighted to help out supporting their Three Peak Challenge.

The Gemma’s Smile Appeal will see employees from the Doncaster based Keepmoat group don their walking boots and tackle the grueling Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday 19 September 2009.

In aid of The Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, the 60 strong team will tackle some of the toughest terrain in the country, scaling Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The challenge is being held in memory of the daughter of one of the Keapmoat group who died suddenly last year. Keepmoat hope to raise £20,000 on completion of the 25 mile trek.

Mick Hurst, from Keepmoat said the appeal is well on the way to reaching that target: “So far we’ve received  approximately £12,000 through the generosity of businesses like Academy. There’s no doubt the walk will be challenging but when its for such a fantastic cause, I’m sure we’ll all put 100% into it”.

Martyn Edwards from Academy said they were more than happy to offer their support to the appeal: “Academy have had a strong relationship with the Keepmoat group over recent years and when we learnt of their plans we were very keen to help. Everyone at Academy will be willing the Keepmoat team on throughout the challenge.”

The Academy Group was established 14 years ago and offers vehicle sales, service and maintenance and accident repair to both private motorists and company car drivers.

Customer comments

As Group Transport Manager of William Hare Limited with a fleet of just over 90 vehicles, we have been dealing with Academy for the past 10 years and have always been given excellent service.
I would have ne hesitation in recommending Jason and his team to any company looking for a first class service.
