'Fake' accidents increase insurance premiums

The rise in the number of “crash for cash” scams where fraudsters stage an accident to make a fraudulent insurance claim will result in increased premiums for businesses.
The Insurance Fraud Bureau estimates that the illegal activity, where criminals can net up to £30,000 from a successful scam, will add 5% to insurance premiums this year.
